I wanted to be able to share many fun things that we have done at Corning Center this week. more photos may get added to this post as I collect them from other staff members.

Wishing ALL our ...beautiful women whether they birthed a child or had a hand in guiding them through life a Happy Mother’s Day. And to honor them here at Corning Center we had a full day of glamour and sweets to let them know just how special we think they are. I hope you enjoy the photos of our Beautiful Mother’s and Role Models. 🥰

Today at Corning ...Center we had an outing for a couple of our book 📚 lovers. There is something about going to Barnes & Nobles and having the opportunity to search through the variety of books 📖 when your favorite hobby is reading.
I am glad we could make this happen for these two ladies and that they really enjoyed themselves. ☺️
Ladies found our ...New “Ladies Enlightenment Club” was something that they needed. A safe area where ladies can open up and get to know each other on a deeper level.
This Club gives them time to express how their life has changed from being in the community to needing therapy or long term care in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
As employees we empathize with residents but we return to our home life at the end of our shift while residents depend on the staff to assist them when they are used to being independent. They don’t have their pets, friend/family has resorted to occasional visits due to distance, and the desire for companionship seem to have came to a halt and many times they are left feeling alone and thinking 💭 no one understands.
This Club has opened the door to expression and boy we all have a lot to share 🫂 including a lot of laughter 🤭 while having Hot Tea 🫖 and pastries 🥮. The Best part is they asked when the next meeting 📆 was because they felt it was a positive experience and just what they needed. 🥰
We are going to need more hats!!👒 😂
